Paps Shaikh is Commercial Director for the UK and EMEA at Nextdoor. Since joining Nextdoor in 2018, Paps has launched the platform across multiple markets and onboarded a number of national and global brands. Paps has been able to combine his extensive skills in digital media and his desire to bring local at a national scale to the market via the unique proposition of Nextdoor.

Previously, Paps served as a Senior Executive at a variety of digital first companies, such as eSpotting, Say Media, AdJug and Videojug. He was instrumental in the launch of search marketing across the EU; he then turned his attention to online video, and several years later he brought focus to the importance of brand advertising across digital channels.

Why I am judging the awards... "The industry has faced – and is still yet to face – some of the most challenging economic times since the 2008 financial crisis. Never has it been so necessary for content to have purpose and meaning, as it will be those that are seen to do good and add value that will be remembered. This is what I will be looking for when judging these entries; purpose, kindness, and being meaningful. Those entries which can capture the community spirit we saw coming from neighbourhoods across the country when the UK went into lockdown, will be the ones that capture my attention. This is why I’m honoured to be part of the judging panel for The Drum Awards for Content 2020."
